Dr.
Theo Colborn is Professor at the University of Florida, Gainesville and President of TEDX (The Endocrine Disruption Exchange), Paonia, CO. She is the author of numerous scientific publications about compounds that alter the development of human, wildlife, and laboratory animal offspring before they are born.
Dr. Colborn's prior positions include a Fellowship at the Office of Technology Assessment (US Congress); Senior Fellow, W. Alton Jones Foundation; researcher at the Conservation Foundation; director of the Wildlife and Contaminants program at WWF-US. In
June 2000 Dr. Colborn was awarded the Blue
Planet Prize. Other prizes include the 1999 Norwegian Rachel Carson Prize, the 2003 Society of Toxicology and Enviornmental Chemistry's Rachel Carson Award and Time Magazine's 2007 Environmental Heroes Award. |
